Our short story
contests award the following prizes in US dollars:
1st prize: $140
2nd prize: $100
3rd prize: $70
Honorable mention: $25
Between zero and three stories will be chosen as honorable
mentions. Probably, one or two will.

PAYMENT POLICY***
We have recently run into problems trying to pay authors who live
outside the U.S. These problems have led us to develop a more
formal pay policy.
We will pay authors one of two ways: a bank check drawn on a US
bank, or some form of electronic payment (PayPal, an Amazon gift
certificate, or a gift certificate for any other e-commerce site
that offers them). If you feel you cannot cash a check drawn from a
US bank, then some form electronic payment is your only other
option. No wire transfers! It does not make sense to pay as much as
$35 in wire transfer fees for an honorable mention prize of
$25.
