Prizes
As of July 2010, our short story contests award the following prizes in US dollars:
1st prize: $180
2nd prize: $140
3rd prize: $100
Honorable mention: $40
Between zero and three stories will be chosen as honorable mentions. Probably, two or three will.
We’ll pay you by PayPal, a check through the mail, or an Amazon.com gift certificate. If you feel you can’t cash a check drawn from a US bank, then some form electronic payment is your only other option.
No wire transfers! It doesn’t make sense to pay as much as $35 in wire transfer fees for an honorable mention prize of $40.
